John Kempf – Plant Health Creates Soil Health

It is commonly said that it takes healthy soil to produce healthy crops, but what does it take to produce healthy soil? In the presentation John Kempf will describe how healthy plants photosynthesize more efficiently than less healthy plants, and increase the volume of carbon being cycled through an ecosystem. Without the carbon contribution originating from plants, there is no food source for soil biology, and soil is nothing more than undecomposed rock particulate. Plants capture the energy source that drives the development of healthy soil, not the other way around.
