COURSE INFORMATION AND FEES

CTP Accelerator Workshop (CTPAW)

  • A 10-day in-person workshop in Kampia, Cyprus (costing $5,999) designed to enable students to graduate Stages 1 and 2 of either the Consultant Training Program (CTP) or Grower Training Program (GTP) by meeting all the learning outcomes in those stages in an alternative, but equivalent, learning pathway. Conditions and prerequisites apply, please see below.
  • You’ll receive electronic handouts in this workshop.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Prerequisites for attendance at this workshop. Students must meet all of the following:

  1. You must have completed Soil Food Web Foundation Course 3 (FC3). If you have not completed Foundation Course 4 (FC4), you will be required to watch all the lectures in FC4 before you attend the workshop, but you will not be required to have taken FC4 quizzes (we’ll set you up with a special pass so you can skip the quizzes). This is to ensure that you have a good understanding of the microscopy that will be used at the workshop.
  2. You must pay the workshop fee of $5,999 in full.
  3. You are responsible for obtaining your own travel, medical, and medical evacuation insurance before attending the workshop. Failure to do so may result in you being refused admission to the workshop and a refund being withheld. You must provide evidence of the insurance if requested by the Soil Food Web School.
  4. You will be required to attend Safety Training and to sign the “Workshop Handbook” on day 1 of the workshop.
  5. It is your sole responsibility to look into whether you need a visa to travel from your home country and if your passport allows you to enter and stay in Cyprus for the workshop.

Conditions for graduation of stages 1 and 2 of the CTP of GTP. Students must meet all of the following:

  1. Attendance at all 10 days of the workshop and full participation in all activities.
  2. Completion of all four of the Foundation Courses (FCs) and the Certified Lab-Tech Program (CLP).
  3. Students who are joining the workshop but who have yet to successfully complete all the FCs and/or the CLP, may do so after the workshop, at which time they will graduate Stages 1 & 2 of the CTP/GTP.

Prerequisites for entering Stage 3 of the CTP of GTP. Students must meet all of the following:

  1. All students are required to make (at home) sufficient compost for use in Stage 3, which is where they will use compost and liquid amendments to regenerate a small patch of land.
  2. The compost needed for Stage 3 must meet the minimum biological requirements as set out in the CTP/GTP Course Manual.
  3. Students will need to perform a Remote Assessment of their compost before they can enroll in Stage 3. This is to ensure that students do not attempt to regenerate their soils using inadequate compost, which can result in failure and disappointment.
  4. All students will be required to pay the enrolment fee for Stage 3, if they have not already done so.
  5. Once the quality of the student’s compost has been verified, the student will be able to enroll in Stage 3 and will be assigned to an Instructor/Mentor who will guide them through the process of correctly preparing for their final project.
  6. If students need additional support with preparation of their compost for use in Stage 3, they can consult an Instructor/Mentor for assistance (see below for more information).

Additional Terms and Conditions:

  1. If you have already paid for Stage 1 and have not used all your allotted Mentor/Instructor time in Stage 1, you can use any residual Mentor/Instructor Time to complete the CLP if you have not already done so. After successful completion of the CLP, you may use any residual Mentor/Instructor time to:
     a. Get assistance with preparing your compost for entry to Stage 3
     b. Supplement your Stage 3 Mentor/Instructor Time

  4. No fees for Stage 2 apply with this pathway. If you have already paid for Stage 2, you will be entitled to a $500 coupon (redeemable within 12 months from the execution date of this agreement) that you can use towards the purchase of certain products from the Soil Food Web School e.g. Additional Instructor/Mentor Time, Stage 3 of the CTP/GTP, the Introduction to Ecosystem Restoration, the Permaculture Design Course.
