Casey is a certified Soil Food Web School consultant with years of hands-on agricultural experience. He has managed farms, designed permaculture systems, cultivated gourmet mushrooms and microgreens, built and run aquaponics systems, and produced large volumes of compost and biochar. He is always learning and experimenting.
His approach to teaching was shaped by training with experts in the field as well as his own experience on the ground. Casey teaches by asking questions and facilitating conversation, helping students sharpen their observation and build confidence in reading what’s happening in their own context. He believes the most lasting learning comes when people connect their personal goals to what they see and to their own management decisions.
He is a practitioner and active voice in New Mexico’s soil health movement.
