Hello biophilic friends! I moved to Rapid City, SD in 2023 and am very happily a staff member of the SD Soil Health Coalition! I majored in Soil Science, but was disappointed soil microbes were largely ignored. After graduating (USU 2006), I worked for the NRCS mapping soils in remote locations of WY and N. MN, and developed a deep appreciation for native prairie. Then for many years I was in coatal OR working as a co-op produce manager while community organizing on forestry reform issues, on a Biointensive farm, and more recently in grassland management with bison and cattle ranchers.
